TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

All our prices include 20% VAT, and Customers outside of the EEC, VAT is not charged.

We reserve the right to alter prices and specifications without prior notification and to adjust quantities if necessary to balance any error of payment or price adjustment.

Whilst we do our upmost to keep the Balsa Wood Straight, unfortunately due to the continuous change in weather conditions the Balsa does bow as this is a natural product of which is out of our control.  The Balsa Wood is still usable, so we can only suggest you put heavy objects on the Balsa.

The colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to availability of browser software and monitors.

All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely and once order has been processed these are destroyed.

Customer details are not passed to third parties only for delivery purposes.

We accept Debit and Credit Cards. Cheques and Credit Cards are only accepted over the value of £10 due to the high bank charges. We do not accept payment online as we try to keep our prices low and we also have a few cheaper delivery options. Once you have placed your order you may call us with your card details or we can contact you.

DELIVERY TERMS

In the event where our carriers have left a card stating that a delivery has been attempted, you must act upon this card information and contact the carriers direct to arrange another delivery time as soon as possible.  Failure to do this will result in the parcel being returned to The Balsa Cabin which will incur extra charges.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged items by 5pm the following working day after delivery in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

If your item is damaged and requested by us to have this returned please ensure that you have kept the packaging for us to have the item collected by MyHermes or APC Courier.

CANCELLATION, RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY

We hope you will be pleased with everything you have bought from us but if you are unhappy with your Products, you can return them to us in accordance with the returns policy below.

RIGHT TO CANCEL

Under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a legal right to cancel the contract between you and us within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason unless the product is a custom order/ bespoke order.

The cancellation period will end after 14 days starting the day after you or a third party acting on your behalf (excluding the company that delivers the Product to you) takes physical possession of the Product you ordered. Where you order multiple Products in one order or a Product is delivered in separate parts, lots or pieces, the cancellation period will end after 14 days starting the day after you or a third party acting on your behalf (excluding the company that delivers the Product to you) takes physical possession of the last Product, part, lot or piece that makes up your order.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract with us by making a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email).

Please send a letter or e-mail to us before you return goods, telling us that you are returning the goods and why, to The Balsa Cabin, Unit 15, Heybridge House Industrial Estate, The Causeway, Heybridge, Maldon, Essex. CM9 4XL. Email address balsacabin@hotmail.com

RETURN POST

Please note: No items will be refunded or replaced without us first receiving the goods back. Please do not use express services to return items to us as we will be unable to refund you the full cost paid.

If delivery has been by MyHermes, the return is to be used by MyHermes and If the item has to be shipped using a APC courier or Parcelforce, please contact us.

FAULTY GOODS

If an item is received faulty we will resend the replacement product out.  Please note that some products we ask for the item to be returned back to us before resending a replacement item out.

If you do not require this item a credit note will be added to your file.

BACKORDER ITEMS

If an item on your order is out of stock and you would like us to send the item once back in stock we do charge postage for this item to be sent out, or you can wait until the item in stock and we can send the whole order together at one postage cost.
